Installation of BlackBerry Backgrounds

Note: Do not install all of the backgrounds at one time if you do not have enough memory to do so. Choose a couple that you would like to install, store the rest for future use.

First, you will want to identify the screen size of your device. Some standard screen sizes include 240x240, 240x260, and 320x240. Transfer the file to your BlackBerry device using the recommended transfer method for images. For most Blackberry devices this can be done using the Media Manager which is part of the BlackBerry Desktop manager. All BlackBerry Background files are standard jpg files and are seen by your BlackBerry device as images or "media". You can use these backgrounds in the same ways that you would use any image file.

Open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager -> open the Media Manager -> transfer the files to either the device or a media card

Using the BlackBerry Backgrounds

Open Media on the mobile device -> open Pictures -> Open either Device Memory or Media Card -> find and click on the background file -> click again to display menu -> choose Set As Home Screen Image -> return to the Home Screen
